    "textoCompleto" => "<span class="elsevierStyleSections"><p id="par0010" class="elsevierStylePara elsevierViewall">A 39-year-old woman&#44; presented to the emergency department with a one-week history of sore throat and stiffness of the left part of the neck&#46; On examination&#44; she presented a moderate swelling of the posterior wall of the oropharynx with medialization of the ipsilateral tonsil &#40;<a class="elsevierStyleCrossRef" href="#fig0005">Fig&#46; 1</a>&#41;&#46; On palpation&#44; the swelling was hard and pulsatile&#46; A CT scan of the neck with contrast was performed showing a giant pseudoaneurysm of the left internal carotid artery&#44; partially thrombosed&#44; produced after spontaneous artery dissection &#40;<a class="elsevierStyleCrossRef" href="#fig0010">Fig&#46; 2</a>&#41;&#46; The patient underwent angiography&#44; confirming the diagnosis&#44; &#40;<a class="elsevierStyleCrossRef" href="#fig0015">Fig&#46; 3</a>&#41; with a good cross flow at the occlusion test and the artery was definitively occluded&#46; The patient didn&#8217;t develop any neurological deficit during or after the procedure&#46; This case shows the importance of meticulous exploration during the management of infectious cervical disease in order to avoid lethal complications&#44; and the requirement of multidisciplinary teamwork to obtain the best results for the patient&#46;</p><elsevierMultimedia ident="fig0005"></elsevierMultimedia><elsevierMultimedia ident="fig0010"></elsevierMultimedia><elsevierMultimedia ident="fig0015"></elsevierMultimedia><span id="sec0005" class="elsevierStyleSection elsevierViewall"><span class="elsevierStyleSectionTitle" id="sect0005">Conflicts of interest</span><p id="par0015" class="elsevierStylePara elsevierViewall">The authors declared no conflicts of interest with respect to the authorship and&#47;or publication of this article&#46;</p></span></span>"
