    "textoCompleto" => "<span class="elsevierStyleSections"><p id="par0005" class="elsevierStylePara elsevierViewall">A 25-year-old man presented to the emergency room with odynophagia 10 days after performing oral sex to a man infected with human monkeypox&#46; He was previously misdiagnosed as having bacterial tonsilitis and was on amoxicillin-clavulanate for 3 days without any improvement&#46; Physical examination showed multiple round ulcers throughout his tonsils and palate &#40;<a class="elsevierStyleCrossRef" href="#fig0005">Fig&#46; 1</a>&#41;&#44; base of tongue and hypopharynx &#40;<a class="elsevierStyleCrossRef" href="#fig0010">Fig&#46; 2</a>&#41;&#44; and vocal cords &#40;<a class="elsevierStyleCrossRef" href="#fig0015">Fig&#46; 3</a>&#41;&#46; He also had 3 pustules on his chest and forearm&#46; His skin lesions and oropharyngeal swab were PCR positive for monkeypox virus DNA&#46; He was medicated with paracetamol&#44; ibuprofen&#44; and prednisolone&#44; and within a week all his symptoms disappeared&#46; This is the first report in the literature of an oropharynx&#47;laryngeal manifestation of human monkeypox infection&#46; Clinicians should be aware of this possible manifestation when observing a patient with odynophagia who has a high index of suspicion for human monkeypox infection&#46;</p><elsevierMultimedia ident="fig0005"></elsevierMultimedia><elsevierMultimedia ident="fig0010"></elsevierMultimedia><elsevierMultimedia ident="fig0015"></elsevierMultimedia><span id="sec0005" class="elsevierStyleSection elsevierViewall"><span class="elsevierStyleSectionTitle" id="sect0005">Funding</span><p id="par0010" class="elsevierStylePara elsevierViewall">This research did not receive any specific grant from funding agencies in the public&#44; commercial&#44; or not-for-profit sectors&#46;</p></span><span id="sec0010" class="elsevierStyleSection elsevierViewall"><span class="elsevierStyleSectionTitle" id="sect0010">Conflict of interests</span><p id="par0015" class="elsevierStylePara elsevierViewall">The authors have no competing interests to declare that are relevant to the content of this article&#46;</p></span></span>"
