Abstract
Syphilis has significantly increased its incidence in Europe and North America in the past 20 years. Although rare, sudden hearing loss might be a complication of syphilis infection. We present two cases of otosyphilis seen in our hospitals and review of the English and Spanish literature already published since 2000.

La sífilis ha aumentado significativamente su incidencia en Europa y Norteamérica en los últimos 20 años. Aunque es raro, la pérdida súbita de audición puede ser una complicación derivada de la infección por sífilis. Presentamos dos casos de otosífilis vistos en nuestros hospitales y revisamos la literatura en inglés y español sobre el tema publicada desde el 2000.
