Pseudoaneurisma de arteria radial: tratamiento con trombina humana

Introducción

Desde hace algunos años, la inyección de trombina ha demostrado ser efectiva en el tratamiento de pseudoaneurismas femorales. Sin embargo, no se ha establecido su aplicación en el tratamiento del pseudoaneurisma de arterial radial.

Caso clínico

Mujer de 78 años que presentó un pseudoaneurisma radial posterior a la cateterización para medición de la presión arterial invasiva, y que se trató exitosamente mediante la inyección de trombina humana con control radioscópico.

Conclusión

La inyección de trombina humana es una alternativa terapéutica efectiva y segura para el tratamiento del pseudoaneurisma radial iatrogénico.

Introduction

In recent years, thrombin injections have proved to be effective in the treatment of femoral pseudoaneurysms. Nevertheless, their application in the treatment of radial artery pseudoaneurysms is yet to be established.

Case report

A 78-year-old female with a radial pseudoaneurysm following catheterisation for invasive blood pressure measurement; the patient was successfully treated by means of human thrombin injections with radioscopic monitoring.

Conclusions

Human thrombin injections are an effective, safe therapeutic alternative for the treatment of iatrogenic radial pseudoaneurysms.
