Abstract

Congenital miosis and microspherophakia are rare congenital disorders of the anterior chamber that are associated with multiple other ophthalmological and systemic pathologies or disorders. Nevertheless, the association of both entities have not been described yet. We present the case of a 2-years-old patient without other relevant medical history that presented with high myopia secondary to microspherophakia and associated with congenital miosis.

Resumen

La miosis congénita y la microesferofaquia son malformaciones congénitas raras de la cámara anterior que se asocian a otras múltiples patologías y malformaciones tanto a nivel oftalmológico como sistémico. No obstante, hasta el momento, la asociación de ambas entidades no había sido descrita. Presentamos el caso de un paciente varón de dos años sin otros antecedentes personales de interés, que debuta con una miopía magna secundaria a una microesferofaquia y asociada a una miosis congénita.
