Despite the promising results in terms of microdissection and microsuturing capabilities, the robotic liver surgery is still confined at few selected hospitals.1 The lack of specific training and the high skills required hindered in fact its application. Nowadays, only few centers reported the application of robotic surgery for the treatment of lesions located in the posterior-superior segments.2 The access to this liver portion requires a wide liver mobilization and meticulous liver parenchyma transection associated to a complex control of liver pedicle in case of sudden bleeding.
Herein, we report a video of two robotic-assisted wedge resections of segment 7 in a patient with colorectal liver metastases. The duration of Pringle maneuver was 20min. The operative time was 175min. The postoperative course was uneventful and the length of hospital stay was 5 days.
