Presentamos el caso de una mujer joven intervenida de urgencias con sospecha de apendicitis aguda y que resultó ser una enfermedad de Crohn de localización predominantemente apendicular, con una presentación seudotumoral. Se analiza la actitud quirúrgica que se tomó y se revisan las distintas posibilidades de afección apendicular en la enfermedad de Crohn así como la clínica, terapéutica y evolución de cada una de ellas.

We present the case of a young woman who underwent emergency surgery to treat suspected acute appendicitis and was found to have Crohn's disease located predominantly in the appendix, presenting as pseudotumor. We analyze the surgical management and review the different possibilities of appendiceal involvement in Crohn's disease, as well as the clinical and therapeutic features and course of each.
