Los sarcomas primarios de mama son procesos patológicos poco frecuentes. En concreto, el histiocitoma fibroso maligno raramente se observa como tumor mamario. Afecta preferentemente a mujeres de 40 a 60 años y es de difícil diagnóstico. Clínicamente suele presentarse como una tumoración en la mama que acostumbra a ser de gran tamaño (5-10 cm). El tratamiento consiste en la exéresis amplia con márgenes libres sin linfadenectomía. El caso que presentamos resulta interesante por la infrecuencia tumoral, la edad temprana de presentación y la dificultad diagnóstica que plantea en la mujer joven.
Primary sarcoma of the breast is infrequent. Indeed, fibrous malignant histiocytoma appears rarely as a breast tumor. It usually affects women between the ages of 40 and 60 years and diagnosis is difficult. The malignancy appears clinically as a large tumor in the breast (5-10 cm). Treatment consists of breast-preserving wide local excision with free margins and without lymphadenectomy. The interest of the case reported herein lies in the infrequency of the tumor, the early age at presentation, and the difficulty of diagnosis in a young woman.
