Resumen
La rotura espontánea de bazo, generalmente asociada con enfermedad esplénica, es poco común. Se presenta a 2 pacientes afectados, uno de seudoquiste y otro de cáncer pancreático. Los dos comenzaron con rotura esplénica espontánea y fueron tratados mediante esplenectomía y pancreatectomía distal. Se discute el mecanismo patogénico de esta entidad.

Spontaneous splenic rupture, which is usually associated with splenic disease, is infrequent. We present two patients, one with pseudocyst and the other with cancer of the pancreas. Both first presented with spontaneous splenic rupture and were treated with splenectomy and distal pancreatectomy. The pathogenic mechanism of this entity is discussed.
