The patient is a 22-year-old male who was born with a small vegetating cutaneous lesion in the left retroauricular region, which showed slow growth until puberty. At that time, the lesion extended from the temporal to the occipital region, with a notably abundant and cerebroid appearance. The consistency was firm but not hard and relatively mobile, and it displaced the ear on that side. The surrounding area was covered with normal scalp and hair, resulting in a serious aesthetic impact (Figs. 1 and 2). Radiography and tomography studies showed no evidence of bone or intracranial lesions. We consulted with the Dermatology Department, and considered the clinical diagnosis to be cerebriform nevus of the scalp.
