of obstruction is the small bowel.</p><p id="par0010" class="elsevierStylePara elsevierViewall">A 72-year-old woman presented with cholelitiasis and bowel obstruction. CT scan demonstrated a gallstone impacted in the sigmoid colon as well as a cholecystocolonic fistula. Due to the unavailability of the endoscopy unit, endoscopy was ruled out, and the patient underwent urgent surgery. Laparoscopic cholecystectomy was postponed due to inflammation involving the omentum and colon. The gallstone was identified in the sigmoid colon, and colotomy on the taenia coli was performed to extract the gallstone. The colon was sutured transversally with a 3.0 absorbable barbed suture (Video <a class="elsevierStyleCrossRef" href="#sec0030">1</a>).
