El déficit genético de apolipoproteína CII es una rara entidad que cursa con hipertrigliceridemia aislada. La hipertrigliceridemia se asocia a cuadros de pancreatitis de repetición desde la infancia, si bien algunos de estos pacientes siguen sin filiar en la edad adulta; de este modo, encontramos el caso de una gestante con un cuadro de pancreatitis secundaria a hipertrigliceridemia.
