Law develops according to the times and the times. these developments have an impact on the field of medicine, because these two scholars are confused. One important element of medical care is informed consent, in which a physician when performing an action against a patient needs to provide information on the procedure, purpose and impact of the action that he or she will perform. This study focuses on the implications of violations of informed consent to patients and forms of accountability that can be applied.
MethodsSurvey method was adopted for this study and 342 teenagers (14–19 years old) samples has been collected using purposive random sampling. Univariate and multiple regression methods have been applied for data analyzing.
ConclusionImplications of violations of informed consent to patients are a form of error from doctors/health workers, because they do not carry out one of the procedures in carrying out medical actions. The form of accountability that can be applied in the form of criminal and administrative. Criminal application if proven loss suffered by the patient, physical, financial, emotional or various other categories of loss, or general damages including loss of income to be received, pain and suffering and special losses (special damages) real financial losses must be issued, such as medical expenses, salary not received.
