En este tercer artículo se exponen los resultados parciales de la muestra correspondiente al grupode ancianos del estudio multicéntrico financiado por la Comisión Europea: Autonomía, Privacidad yConsentimiento Informado e Intervenciones de Enfermería. Dicho estudio ha contado con laparticipación de Finlandia, Alemania, Grecia, Reino Unido y España. Su objetivo es describir y analizardesde la dimensión jurídica y ética el principio de autonomía y el consentimiento informado en centrossociosanitarios de Cataluña. Los datos han sido recogidos en cuatro centros, mediante entrevistas y basándose en unos cuestionarios estructurados (ancianos y enfermeras), diseñados especialmentepara este estudio. La muestra corresponde a 100 ancianos y 132 enfermeras. Los resultados han sidotratados estadísticamente y muestran que existen diferencias entre las percepciones de los ancianos y las enfermeras respecto a las intervenciones de enfermería, concernientes a la autonomía y elconsentimiento informado. This third article shows the partial results of the sample corresponding to the group of elderlypatients of the multicenter study supported by the European Commission: Autonomy, Privacy andInformed Consent and Nursing Interventions. The participating countries are Finland, Germany,Greece, the United Kingdom and Spain. The aim of this study was to describe and analyze, from a legaland ethical perspective, the principle of autonomy and informed consent in health care centers inCatalonia. Data were collected in four centers through interviews with elderly patients and nurses.The interviews were based on structured questionnaires especially designed for this study. Thesample included 100 elderly patients and 132 nurses. Statistical analysis of the results revealed significantdifferences between patients and nurses in their perception of how the principles of autonomy andinformed consent were articulated in nursing interventions. Differences were also found in patienthistory. The first and second articles in this series on maternal and surgical care were published in volume11, number 5 and 6 of Enfermería Clínica
