Las lesiones por aceleración–deceleración constituyen una patología con entidad propia que conlleva la necesidad de un tratamiento fisioterápico precoz e intensivo. En la actualidad no existe un protocolo determinado de actuación fisioterápica en esta patologóa. La necesidad de un conocimiento cientófico de las bases biomecánicas de la lesión y de las técnicas de tratamiento fisioterápico nos han llevado al estudio de esta entidad.
En el tratamiento fisioterápico de esta patologóa se recurre a diferentes técnicas de terapia manual y de Fisioterapia. Estas técnicas son defendidas desde el punto de vista de la práctica clónica o, en algunos casos, con ensayos clónicos controlados. Es necesario concienciar a los fisioterapeutas la necesidad del estudio e investigación de las diferentes tcnicas de Fisioterapia aplicadas en esta patología.
Aceleration–deceleration syndrome is a patology with own entity that needing an intensive and precocious physical therapy treatment. Actually there isn't a standard protocol treatment actuation in this patology. The needing of a cientific knowledge about the biomechanical events at the whiplash injury and about the physical therapy treatment, take us the study of this pathology.
We use different manual therapy and physical therapy techniques at the treatment of this pathology. Some of this technique are defending since point of view of the clinical working or, sometimes, with a controlled clinical trial. It's necesary to make aware physiotherapist the necessity of the investigation and study of the different physical therapy techniques to apply on this pathology.
