Los cuadros de «hombro doloroso» provocados por patología subacromial y capsulitis adhesiva cursan habitualmente con una serie de manifestaciones clí nicas que provocan una incapacidad funcional del paciente que los padece. El tratamiento conservador de los mismos es especialmente útil para la consecució n de una recuperación. En este artí culo se establecen unos protocolos de tratamiento fisioterapéutico para las lesiones degenerativas del manguito rotador, tendón de la cabeza larga del bíceps, bolsa subacromial y cápsula glenohumeral. A continuació n se presenta un estudio estadístico de casos clí nicos que corrobora el éxito terapéutico en cuanto a recuperación funcional se refiere para pacientes en los que noestá indicada la cirugía
The condition known as «painful shoulder», which is caused by a subdeltoid pathology and adhesive capsulitis, generally gives rise to a series of impairments that eventually lead to a functional disability in the patient. Conservative treatment of this conditions is especially useful in achieving a recovery. This paper sets out a series of phisiotherapy treatment guidelines aimed at degenerative lesions of the rotator cuff, the tendon of the long head of the biceps brachii, the subdeltoid bursa and the glenohumeral capsula. We then present a statistical study of patient histories which demonstrates the effectiveness of this therapy in bringing about a functional recovery in patients for whom surgery is not recommended.
