En los centros de educación especial es imprescindible la figura del fisioterapeuta integrado en el equipo multidisciplinar. Una evaluación y un trabajo sistematizados por parte del fisioterapeuta conllevan una actuación más eficaz, lo que va a conllevar a su vez la correcta valoración de la fisioterapia dentro de los ámbitos educativos por el resto de profesionales.
En este caso describimos la actuación del fisioterapeuta en un centro educativo, tomando como base un caso práctico: un alumno con parálisis cerebral; describimos la valoración fisioterápica inicial, realizamos un diagnóstico, elaboramos un plan terapéutico y por último realizamos la evaluación de nuestra actuación.
In special education centres the role of the physiotherapist integraded in the multidisciplinar equipe is inavoidable. A systematic evaluation and work made by the physiotherapist produce a more efficient performance and this, in turn, brings about a sight appreciation of physiotherapy within the educational field by the other professionals.
In the present case we describe the work done by the physiotherapist in an educational centre based on a practical case: a student with cerebral palsy; we describe the initial physioteherapic evaluation, we make a diagnosis, work out a therapeutic plan and finally we evaluate our treatment.
