Abstract

Primary pulmonary hypertension is defined as high pulmonary arterial pressure with no identifiable cause. This entity causes high mortality in the puerperium. Pregnancy is contraindicated in patients with primary pulmonary hypertension because of the risk of exacerbation in the puerperium causing death in most affected patients. We report the case of a patient who was diagnosed with primary pulmonary after delivery and who died from right cardiac failure.
