Orígenes del servicio de radiodiagnóstico del Hospital Naval de Cartagena (1896-1909)

Se comienza con una introducción histórica donde se hace referencia a los comienzos de la Radiología en el ámbito militar español y de la Comunidad Autónoma de Murcia. Se expone los datos recogidos en diversas bibliotecas de la Armada, en la Biblioteca Nacional, en la Biblioteca de la Sociedad Española de Radiología Médica y en el Archivo Nacional «Don Alvaro de Bazán», sobre el inicio de la Radiología en el Hospital Naval de Cartagena. Demostramos mediante diversos documentos su fecha de comienzo (29 de octubre de 1903). Se trata de la primera instalación de Radiología hospitalaria en la Comunidad Autónoma de Murcia.

The authors relate the history of the introduction of Radiology into the Spanish military structure and the Autonomic Community of Murcia. They present data gathered from several libraries of the Spanish Navy, the Spanish National Library, the Library of the Spanish Society of Medical Radiology and the National Archives of Don Alvaro de Bazán concerning the background of the Radiology Service of the Naval Hospital of Cartagena. Basing their findings on the available documents, they demonstrate that this installation, the first in the Autonomic Community of Murcia, was inaugurated on October 29, 1903.
