La osteopenia constituye un hallazgo frecuente de las pacientes con síndrome de Turner, aunque el mecanismo de su producción es controvertido. Presentamos el caso de una mujer de 38 años con síndrome de Turner, remitida para control del tratamiento de su osteoporosis. A propósito del caso, hemos revisado los mecanismos fisiopatológicos de la enfermedad ósea en el síndrome de Turner y la respuesta a los diferentes tratamientos.
Osteopenia is a common finding in patients with Turner's syndrome, although its production mechanism is controversial. We report the case of a 38-year old woman referred for therapy control of osteoporosis. The case prompted us to review the pathophysiological mechanisms involved in bone disease in the Turner's syndrome and the response to the different therapies.
