Denominamos ciclo completo de la marcha al tiempo que transcurre entre dos contactos laterales del mismo talón. El ciclo de la marcha se divide en dos fases, la de apoyo y la de balanceo, las cuales duran respectivamente el 60% y el 40% del ciclo de la marcha. En el artículo que presentamos pretendemos profundizar en el estudio del movimiento del miembro inferior durante la fase de apoyo.
