Si nos basamos en hechos estadísticos reales, el número de pacientes que requieren actuaciones de urgencia o de emergencia en una clínica podológica debido a una repentina alteración de su estado de salud, mientras el profesional podólogo ejerce su actividad terapéutica habitual es realmente bajo, y a su vez, dentro de este grupo de afectados, la mayoría de los cuadros acaecidos fueron de carácter leve, pudiendo revertirse con maniobras de fácil ejecución.
Aun así, existe un estrecho margen, pero a la vez real, de vernos sorprendidos por reacciones indeseables calificadas de gravedad y que requieren una pronta respuesta por parte del profesional de la salud allí presente.
De todas ellas, haremos un especial hincapié en las medidas a tomar frente a la aparición de un ataque anafiláctico, que, aunque como ya hemos comentado es bastante infrecuente, cuando se presenta requiere de una respuesta inmediata para frenar la grave afectación orgánica que produce.
En base a esta realidad, hemos creado esta presentación con la intención de que pueda servir de guía de actuación o ayuda ante este tipo de situaciones, casi siempre inesperadas y siempre produciendo la alteración del normal curso de los tratamientos podológicos en curso, tanto de carácter invasivo como no invasivos.
Objetivo: Conocer las normas y protocolos de actuación así como los fármacos necesarios para aplicar tratamientos inmediatos ante una situación de urgencia / emergencia en una clínica podológica hasta la llegada de ayuda especializada si la situación lo requiere.
If we take into account real statistical facts, the number of patients who require urgent or emergency proceedings in a chiropodist clinic due to a sudden alteration in their health state while the chiropodist professional is practising his usual therapeutic activity is really low, and at the same time, inside this group of affected patients, most of the symptoms which appeared were of a minor nature and could be reverted with easy to perform maneuvers.

Among all of them, we will put special emphasis on the measures to be taken in the event of an anaphylactic shock which, although we have already stated is quite uncommon, when it takes place, it needs a prompt response in order to stop the severe organic condition which it produces.
On the basis of this reality, we have created this presentation with the purpose of using it as a proceedings or help guide in view of this kind of situations, which are almost always unexpected and always producing the alteration of the normal course of the ongoing chiropody treatments, both of an invasive and non-invasive nature.
Objetive: Getting to know the rules and proceeding protocols as well as the necessary medicines in order to make use of them in immediate treatments in case of an urgent or emergency situation in a chiropodist clinic until specialized help arrives if the situation requires to do so.
