With the publication of Rehabilitación neuropsicológica. Intervención y práctica clínica [Neuropsychological rehabilitation: clinical treatment and practice], the book's coordinators have reaped the rewards of their hard work, perseverance, and talent for forming an excellent working group. Furthermore, the fact that the book is enjoyable to read is proof that a project's quality determines its viability.

Neurological illnesses – and the way they affect individuals, produce consequences, and impact environments – have to be studied and treated in a multidisciplinary, global way to fully account for their complexity. With this in mind, the book places special emphasis on neuropsychology, an area that is a key factor in treatment success for most neurological illnesses.

The authors of this book, all first-rate professionals in the Spanish and international spheres, employ a clear, readable, scientific, and informative style to explain the basics of neuropsychological rehabilitation, the different cognitive functions, and the different scopes of practice for rehabilitation. I am certain that the resulting reference book will be useful, whether for casual reading, study, or consultation, for everyone practising neuropsychology on a daily basis. I also believe that other professionals whose daily activities do not permit their exclusive dedication to this subject, but who require reference materials for further study, will find it helpful. The end result of publishing this book will be better care for patients, which is our top priority as doctors.
