This issue marks the conclusion of my 10 years of leadership of the Revista Colombiana de Psiquiatría [Colombian Journal of Psychiatry]. I recall with a certain nostalgia the dreams we had 10 years ago. Now, many of them have been realised. While the journal certainly has a long way to go, with the structure and firm foundation put in place, I know it will get there.
To those who placed their trust in my management back then, thank you very much. Believe me, it’s been an honour. I’ve learned so much about publishing, a sphere in which Colombia has not seen much development.
I would also like to thank those who worked with me all these years on the association’s boards of directors and administration to support our management. Our journal is a clear example of the power of teamwork.
To all the authors and reviewers who over the years boosted the journal’s growth, I express my gratitude and my hope that they’ll pardon me for the mistakes I made.
I welcome Dr Hernando Santamaría to his tenure in management. I have no doubt you’ll steer the journal right.
I wish everybody the very best.
