que levam a aquisi&#231;&#245;es importantes nos dom&#237;nios motor&#44; afetivo&#8208;social e cognitivo&#46;<a class="elsevierStyleCrossRef" href="#bib0180"><span class="elsevierStyleSup">1</span></a> Nesse per&#237;odo&#44; o sistema nervoso central &#40;SNC&#41; encontra&#8208;se em constante transforma&#231;&#227;o&#44; a mieliniza&#231;&#227;o e a organiza&#231;&#227;o sin&#225;ptica atingem o pico aos 2&#160;anos&#44; favorecem os processos de aprendizagem&#46;<a class="elsevierStyleCrossRefs" href="#bib0185"><span class="elsevierStyleSup">2&#44;3</span></a> Entretanto&#44; o SNC n&#227;o &#233; o &#250;nico fator respons&#225;vel pelo desenvolvimento motor&#44; &#233; relacionado tamb&#233;m ao desenvolvimento musculoesquel&#233;tico e ao condicionamento cardiorrespirat&#243;rio&#44; todos influenciados por est&#237;mulos e fatores ambientais&#46;<a class="elsevierStyleCrossRefs" href="#bib0195"><span class="elsevierStyleSup">4&#8211;7</span></a> Existem evid&#234;ncias de que o baixo n&#237;vel socioecon&#244;mico<a class="elsevierStyleCrossRefs" href="#bib0215"><span class="elsevierStyleSup">8&#8211;11</span></a> e o ambiente familiar e escolar de baixa qualidade podem influenciar negativamente o desenvolvimento de crian&#231;as saud&#225;veis&#44;<a class="elsevierStyleCrossRefs" href="#bib0215"><span class="elsevierStyleSup">8&#44;10&#44;12&#44;13</span></a> enquanto condi&#231;&#245;es ambientais favor&#225;veis&#44; tais como est&#237;mulos adequados&#44; maior escolaridade materna e um maior n&#237;vel socioecon&#244;mico parecem influenciar de forma positiva o desenvolvimento motor e cognitivo infantil&#46;<a class="elsevierStyleCrossRefs" href="#bib0215"><span class="elsevierStyleSup">8&#44;14&#8211;16</span></a></p><p id="par0015" class="elsevierStylePara elsevierViewall">Quanto aos fatores ambientais&#44; sabe&#8208;se que&#44; desde o fim dos anos&#160;1970&#44; as mulheres passaram a fazer parte do mercado de trabalho&#44; necessitaram de um local para deixar seus filhos nesse per&#237;odo&#46; Assim&#44; a crian&#231;a passou a permanecer grande parte do seu dia em um ambiente diferenciado&#46; Contudo&#44; no Brasil&#44; em 1996&#44; com a aprova&#231;&#227;o da Lei Nacional de Diretrizes e Bases da Educa&#231;&#227;o Nacional &#40;LDB&#41;&#44; as creches deixaram seu aspecto assistencialista e passaram a ter um car&#225;ter educacional&#44; s&#227;o respons&#225;veis pelo &#8220;desenvolvimento integral da crian&#231;a at&#233; os 6&#160;anos&#44; em seus aspectos f&#237;sico&#44; psicol&#243;gico&#44; intelectual e social&#44; complementando a a&#231;&#227;o da fam&#237;lia e da comunidade&#8221; &#40;art&#46;&#160;29<span class="elsevierStyleHsp" style=""></span>da LDB&#41;&#46; Rossetti&#8208;Ferreira et al&#46;<a class="elsevierStyleCrossRef" href="#bib0260"><span class="elsevierStyleSup">17</span></a> destacam que a inser&#231;&#227;o da crian&#231;a na creche oferece uma possibilidade de est&#237;mulos adicionais&#44; visto que essa interage com outras crian&#231;as e cuidadores&#46; Entretanto&#44; esse benef&#237;cio est&#225; diretamente relacionado &#224; qualidade do cuidado dispensado &#224; crian&#231;a&#46;</p><p id="par0020" class="elsevierStylePara elsevierViewall">Sob essa nova perspectiva&#44; a preocupa&#231;&#227;o com o ambiente como fator delineador do desenvolvimento nos primeiros anos de vida levou alguns pesquisadores a questionar a influ&#234;ncia do ambiente escolar como espa&#231;o para desenvolvimento infantil&#44;<a class="elsevierStyleCrossRefs" href="#bib0185"><span class="elsevierStyleSup">2&#44;8&#44;18&#8211;21</span></a> uma vez que as experi&#234;ncias vividas nesses anos est&#227;o relacionadas com o desenvolvimento cognitivo<a class="elsevierStyleCrossRefs" href="#bib0285"><span class="elsevierStyleSup">22&#44;23</span></a> e motor<a class="elsevierStyleCrossRefs" href="#bib0200"><span class="elsevierStyleSup">5&#44;24</span></a> nos anos subsequentes&#44; muitas crian&#231;as t&#234;m a creche como sua principal fonte de est&#237;mulos e conviv&#234;ncia&#46; Nesse contexto&#44; verificou&#8208;se que creches com equipamentos adequados&#44; boa qualidade no cuidado e na metodologia pedag&#243;gica&#44; exerceram influ&#234;ncia positiva no desenvolvimento infantil&#46;<a class="elsevierStyleCrossRefs" href="#bib0185"><span class="elsevierStyleSup">2&#44;15&#44;25</span></a> Entretanto&#44; pouco se tem estudado sobre a influ&#234;ncia do ambiente escolar na motricidade fina de crian&#231;as aos dois anos&#44; per&#237;odo em que come&#231;am a desenvolver maior independ&#234;ncia nas atividades di&#225;rias e adquirem habilidades com uso funcional da m&#227;o&#46; Estudos que avaliaram o desempenho motor fino entre frequentadores de creches brasileiras atribu&#237;ram baixo desempenho das crian&#231;as &#224; falta de qualidade das creches no Brasil&#46;<a class="elsevierStyleCrossRefs" href="#bib0185"><span class="elsevierStyleSup">2&#44;18&#44;26</span></a> No entanto&#44; tal conclus&#227;o foi pautada em estudos que avaliaram somente qualidade das creches no Brasil&#44; sem relacionar o seu impacto no desempenho das crian&#231;as&#46;</p><p id="par0025" class="elsevierStylePara elsevierViewall">Em um estudo pr&#233;vio que avaliou o desempenho de crian&#231;as frequentadoras de creches p&#250;blicas e particulares&#44; todas de n&#237;vel socioecon&#244;mico B e na faixa de zero a tr&#234;s&#160;anos&#44; as crian&#231;as de creches p&#250;blicas apresentaram desempenho cognitivo e de motricidade fina inferiores &#224;s de creches particulares&#46; Tal resultado foi atribu&#237;do &#224;s poss&#237;veis diferen&#231;as estruturais e pedag&#243;gicas entre os tipos de creches&#44; uma vez que as crian&#231;as n&#227;o apresentavam altera&#231;&#227;o dos sistemas org&#226;nicos e apresentavam o mesmo n&#237;vel socioecon&#244;mico&#46; Este estudo&#44; entretanto&#44; n&#227;o avaliou a qualidade do ambiente da creche&#46;<a class="elsevierStyleCrossRef" href="#bib0310"><span class="elsevierStyleSup">27</span></a></p><p id="par0030" class="elsevierStylePara elsevierViewall">N&#227;o foram encontrados estudos que avaliassem a qualidade do ambiente escolar e verificassem a sua influ&#234;ncia no desempenho motor de crian&#231;as&#46; Para tentar preencher tal lacuna da literatura&#44; o objetivo do presente estudo foi verificar as repercuss&#245;es de fatores extr&#237;nsecos&#44; representados pela qualidade e pelo tempo de perman&#234;ncia nas creches&#44; pelo n&#237;vel de escolaridade materna e pela condi&#231;&#227;o socioecon&#244;mica da fam&#237;lia&#44; no desenvolvimento motor fino de crian&#231;as de dois&#160;anos&#46; Considerando que diversos estudos apontam a influ&#234;ncia do ambiente sobre o desenvolvimento de crian&#231;as biologicamente saud&#225;veis&#44;<a class="elsevierStyleCrossRefs" href="#bib0265"><span class="elsevierStyleSup">18&#44;28</span></a> a hip&#243;tese do presente estudo &#233; que quanto mais alto o n&#237;vel de escolaridade materna e o n&#237;vel socioecon&#244;mico da fam&#237;lia e melhor a qualidade da creche&#44; melhor ser&#225; o desempenho motor fino das crian&#231;as avaliadas aos dois&#160;anos&#46; Tamb&#233;m se espera que as crian&#231;as que ingressaram nas creches h&#225; mais tempo apresentem melhor desempenho motor fino&#44; visto que&#44; aos dois&#160;anos&#44; as atividades mais influenciadas no ambiente dom&#233;stico s&#227;o as relacionadas &#224;s atividades motoras grossas e&#44; nas creches&#44; estimula&#8208;se a motricidade fina&#46;<a class="elsevierStyleCrossRef" href="#bib0310"><span class="elsevierStyleSup">27</span></a></p></span><span id="sec0010" class="elsevierStyleSection elsevierViewall"><span class="elsevierStyleSectionTitle" id="sect0070">M&#233;todo</span><p id="par0035" class="elsevierStylePara elsevierViewall">Ap&#243;s o levantamento nos Centros Municipais de Educa&#231;&#227;o Infantil &#40;Cemeis&#41; e creches particulares de uma cidade de m&#233;dio porte do interior do Estado de S&#227;o Paulo&#44; constatou&#8208;se uma popula&#231;&#227;o de 570&#160;crian&#231;as na faixa de dois&#160;anos&#44; 470&#160;&#40;83&#37;&#41; da rede municipal e 100&#160;&#40;17&#37;&#41; da rede particular de ensino&#46; Essas crian&#231;as est&#227;o distribu&#237;das em 40&#160;creches&#44; 22&#160;&#40;55&#37;&#41; em institui&#231;&#245;es municipais e 18&#160;&#40;45&#37;&#41; em creches particulares&#46; Ap&#243;s o c&#225;lculo amostral para popula&#231;&#245;es finitas&#44; com alfa bidirecional de 5&#37; e intervalo de confian&#231;a de 95&#37;&#44; foi estimada uma amostra de 80&#160;crian&#231;as&#46; Esse c&#225;lculo n&#227;o necessita da defini&#231;&#227;o de um desfecho&#46;</p><p id="par0040" class="elsevierStylePara elsevierViewall">Foram inclu&#237;das crian&#231;as de ambos os sexos&#44; nascidas a termo &#40;40&#44;1&#177;2&#160;semanas&#41;&#44; peso adequado para idade gestacional &#40;3&#44;2&#177;0&#44;5 kg&#41;&#44; com Boletim de Apgar&#160;&#62;7 no primeiro e quinto minutos de vida e dentro da faixa de dois&#160;anos &#40;23&#177;3&#160;meses&#41;&#46; No momento da avalia&#231;&#227;o&#44; todas as crian&#231;as estavam dentro do percentil de peso e altura adequados para a idade cronol&#243;gica&#44; segundo a Organiza&#231;&#227;o Mundial de Sa&#250;de&#44;<a class="elsevierStyleCrossRef" href="#bib0320"><span class="elsevierStyleSup">29</span></a> e frequentavam a creche em per&#237;odo integral havia pelo menos seis&#160;meses &#40;&#177;14&#44;8&#160;meses&#41;&#46; N&#227;o foram inclu&#237;das crian&#231;as que apresentaram altera&#231;&#245;es neurol&#243;gicas&#44; s&#237;ndromes gen&#233;ticas ou malforma&#231;&#245;es cong&#234;nitas&#46; Os pais ou respons&#225;veis autorizaram sua participa&#231;&#227;o e assinaram um Termo de Consentimento Livre e Esclarecido &#40;TCLE&#41;&#46; As crian&#231;as foram retiradas do estudo se&#44; durante a avalia&#231;&#227;o&#44; apresentassem choro ou irrita&#231;&#227;o que impossibilitasse a execu&#231;&#227;o dos testes ou qualquer condi&#231;&#227;o de sa&#250;de que comprometesse a avalia&#231;&#227;o&#46;</p><p id="par0045" class="elsevierStylePara elsevierViewall">Ap&#243;s a aprova&#231;&#227;o do projeto pelo Comit&#234; de &#201;tica e Pesquisa do Centro Universit&#225;rio Central Paulista &#40;n&#176;&#160;31&#47;2011&#41;&#44; todas as creches de uma cidade do interior paulista que tinham crian&#231;as de dois&#160;anos em per&#237;odo integral foram convidadas a participar do estudo&#46; Dentre as 13&#160;creches p&#250;blicas&#44; tr&#234;s foram exclu&#237;das devido &#224; falta de espa&#231;o para a avalia&#231;&#227;o do desempenho motor&#46; Dentre as 28&#160;creches particulares convidadas&#44; apenas nove aceitaram participar&#46; N&#227;o h&#225; como saber se existem diferen&#231;as importantes entre as creches avaliadas e as que se recusaram a participar&#44; visto que os pesquisadores foram impedidos de entrar nas creches n&#227;o participantes&#46; Nas creches participantes do estudo foram convidadas todas as crian&#231;as de dois&#160;anos e foram avaliadas todas as crian&#231;as cujos pais ou respons&#225;veis assinaram o Termo de Consentimento Livre e Esclarecido&#46;</p><p id="par0050" class="elsevierStylePara elsevierViewall">A coleta de dados consistiu na avalia&#231;&#227;o f&#237;sica e aplica&#231;&#227;o de um question&#225;rio aos pais para obten&#231;&#227;o de dados de nascimento&#44; condi&#231;&#245;es de sa&#250;de&#44; idade de ingresso na creche e escolaridade materna&#46; Para a coleta da condi&#231;&#227;o socioecon&#244;mica da fam&#237;lia foi usado o question&#225;rio da Associa&#231;&#227;o Brasileira de Empresas de Pesquisa &#40;Abep&#41; para crit&#233;rios de classifica&#231;&#227;o econ&#244;mica&#46;<a class="elsevierStyleCrossRef" href="#bib0325"><span class="elsevierStyleSup">30</span></a> O question&#225;rio usa caracter&#237;sticas da casa &#40;quantidade de TV&#44; r&#225;dio&#44; banheiro&#44; autom&#243;vel&#44; empregada dom&#233;stica&#44; m&#225;quina de lavar roupas&#44; DVD&#44; geladeira&#44; <span class="elsevierStyleItalic">freezer</span> e escolaridade do chefe da casa&#41; para quantificar o n&#237;vel socioecon&#244;mico em A&#44; B&#44; C&#44; D ou E&#46;<a class="elsevierStyleCrossRef" href="#bib0325"><span class="elsevierStyleSup">30</span></a></p><p id="par0055" class="elsevierStylePara elsevierViewall">As crian&#231;as foram chamadas em suas salas e encaminhadas a um local determinado pela dire&#231;&#227;o da creche para a avalia&#231;&#227;o do desempenho motor e das medidas antropom&#233;tricas&#46; Vale ressaltar que o examinador respeitou os hor&#225;rios de sono&#44; alimenta&#231;&#227;o e banho propostos pelas institui&#231;&#245;es e caso a crian&#231;a chorasse ou se negasse a fazer as atividades&#44; era imediatamente conduzida para a sua sala&#46;</p><p id="par0060" class="elsevierStylePara elsevierViewall">Os instrumentos de avalia&#231;&#227;o empregados foram o Bayley Scales of Infant and Toddler Development &#8211; III &#40;BSITD&#8208;III&#41; e o Infant&#47;Toddler Environment Rating Scale &#8211; Revised Edition &#40;ITERS&#8208;R&#41;&#46;</p><p id="par0065" class="elsevierStylePara elsevierViewall">A BSITD&#8208;III &#233; uma escala de avalia&#231;&#227;o do desenvolvimento confi&#225;vel&#44; validada para crian&#231;as de 0&#8208;42&#160;meses<a class="elsevierStyleCrossRef" href="#bib0330"><span class="elsevierStyleSup">31</span></a> nas &#225;reas cognitiva&#44; motora&#44; linguagem&#44; socioemocional e comportamento adaptativo&#46; A administra&#231;&#227;o da BSITD&#8208;III ocorre de acordo com a faixa et&#225;ria da crian&#231;a&#44; com a tarefa de in&#237;cio da avalia&#231;&#227;o correspondente &#224; idade&#46; No presente estudo foi usada apenas a avalia&#231;&#227;o da &#225;rea motora fina&#46; As tarefas foram pontuadas como escore&#160;1&#160;&#8211;&#160;quando a crian&#231;a conseguiu fazer a atividade&#44; cumprir as exig&#234;ncias determinadas no manual da escala&#46;<a class="elsevierStyleCrossRef" href="#bib0330"><span class="elsevierStyleSup">31</span></a> A tarefa n&#227;o foi pontuada &#40;escore&#160;0&#41; quando a crian&#231;a n&#227;o fez ou fez inadequadamente a atividade&#46; Ao iniciar o teste&#44; a crian&#231;a era convidada a fazer tr&#234;s atividades consecutivas&#44; caso contr&#225;rio o examinador retornava para a entrada correspondente &#224; idade anterior&#44; at&#233; que ela fizesse corretamente tr&#234;s atividades consecutivas&#46; A avalia&#231;&#227;o foi finalizada quando a crian&#231;a n&#227;o fazia cinco atividades consecutivas&#46; A pontua&#231;&#227;o final foi transformada em um escore padr&#227;o que varia de 1&#8208;19&#160;pontos&#44; de acordo com tabelas contidas no manual&#46;<a class="elsevierStyleCrossRef" href="#bib0330"><span class="elsevierStyleSup">31</span></a> De acordo com a BSITD&#8208;III&#44; &#233; considerada uma pontua&#231;&#227;o m&#233;dia 10 com desvio padr&#227;o de 3&#46; Entretanto&#44; para o presente estudo reclassificou&#8208;se a pontua&#231;&#227;o em 5&#160;n&#237;veis&#58; abaixo da m&#233;dia quando o escore era&#160;&#60;7&#59; m&#233;dio&#8208;baixo quando a pontua&#231;&#227;o era de 7&#8208;9&#59; m&#233;dio quando&#160;&#61;10&#59; m&#233;dio alto quando o escore era de 11&#8208;13 e acima da m&#233;dia quando&#160;&#62;13&#46; Para aplica&#231;&#227;o da BSITD&#8208;III&#44; tr&#234;s examinadores foram treinados e obtiveram &#237;ndice de concord&#226;ncia interobservador de 98&#37;&#46;</p><p id="par0070" class="elsevierStylePara elsevierViewall">A ITERS&#8208;R foi desenvolvida por Harms&#44; Cryer e Clifford<a class="elsevierStyleCrossRef" href="#bib0335"><span class="elsevierStyleSup">32</span></a> para avaliar creches e &#233; uma medida v&#225;lida e confi&#225;vel da qualidade f&#237;sica e de recursos humanos dessas institui&#231;&#245;es&#46; &#201; composta por 39&#160;itens agrupados em sete&#160;subescalas&#58; material e mobili&#225;rio&#44; rotinas de cuidados pessoais&#44; linguagem oral e compreens&#227;o&#44; atividades de aprendizagem&#44; intera&#231;&#227;o&#44; estrutura do programa e necessidades dos adultos&#44; para avalia&#231;&#227;o do ambiente escolar&#46;</p><p id="par0075" class="elsevierStylePara elsevierViewall">A pontua&#231;&#227;o de cada item varia de 1&#8208;7&#44; a pontua&#231;&#227;o 1 e 2 correspondente ao inadequado&#44; 3 e 4 ao m&#237;nimo&#44; 5&#8208;7 ao bom&#46; Foram calculadas a pontua&#231;&#227;o para cada subescala e a m&#233;dia geral dessas pontua&#231;&#245;es&#46; Para aplica&#231;&#227;o da escala&#44; tr&#234;s examinadores foram treinados e obtiveram &#237;ndice de concord&#226;ncia interobservador de 96&#37;&#46;</p><p id="par0080" class="elsevierStylePara elsevierViewall">Para an&#225;lise dos dados&#44; o desempenho motor fino foi dividido em cinco categorias de acordo com o manual da escala BSITD&#8208;III&#44; conforme citado anteriormente&#46;<a class="elsevierStyleCrossRef" href="#bib0330"><span class="elsevierStyleSup">31</span></a> Entretanto&#44; n&#227;o foi encontrado resultado abaixo da m&#233;dia e foram analisadas quatro categorias&#46; Os dados quanto &#224; qualidade da creche tamb&#233;m foram reclassificados em duas categorias&#58; creche de boa qualidade&#44; quando atingiam pontua&#231;&#227;o&#160;&#8805;5&#44; e creches de qualidade ruim&#44; quando a pontua&#231;&#227;o&#160;era&#60;5&#46; Os dados foram processados pelo pacote estat&#237;stico SPSS&#160;17&#46;0 &#40;IBM Corporation&#44; New York&#44; United States of America&#41;&#46; Para o teste de normalidade do desempenho motor fino&#44; usou&#8208;se o teste de Kolmogorov&#8208;Smirnov&#44; que apontou a n&#227;o normalidade dos dados&#46; O teste de Spearman foi aplicado para verificar a rela&#231;&#227;o entre o desempenho motor fino das crian&#231;as e os fatores extr&#237;nsecos&#58; qualidade e tempo de perman&#234;ncia nas creches&#44; n&#237;vel de escolaridade materna e condi&#231;&#227;o socioecon&#244;mica da fam&#237;lia&#46; Para as an&#225;lises de correla&#231;&#227;o&#44; usou&#8208;se a classifica&#231;&#227;o de Dancey e Reidy&#58;<a class="elsevierStyleCrossRef" href="#bib0340"><span class="elsevierStyleSup">33</span></a> r<span class="elsevierStyleInf">s</span>&#61;0&#44;10&#8208;0&#44;30 &#233; os resultados&#44; de maneira geral&#44; demonstraram que fatores como a maior escolaridade materna&#44; maior tempo de perman&#234;ncia nas creches e creches de melhor qualidade se relacionaram ao desempenho motor fino das crian&#231;as frequentadoras&#46;</p><p id="par0110" class="elsevierStylePara elsevierViewall">As atividades propostas pela escala BSITD para essa faixa et&#225;ria envolvem empilhar blocos&#44; imitar tra&#231;os&#44; encaixar e desencaixar pe&#231;as&#44; construir figuras tridimensionais com blocos e recortar papel&#46;<a class="elsevierStyleCrossRef" href="#bib0330"><span class="elsevierStyleSup">31</span></a> Crian&#231;as que frequentavam as creches por mais tempo mostraram pontua&#231;&#245;es mais elevadas nessas atividades&#46; A perman&#234;ncia das crian&#231;as em creches ainda &#233; bastante controversa na literatura&#46; Estudo<a class="elsevierStyleCrossRef" href="#bib0230"><span class="elsevierStyleSup">11</span></a> aponta que um maior n&#250;mero de horas na creche &#233; prejudicial para o desenvolvimento infantil&#44; principalmente entre as crian&#231;as que ingressam precocemente na creche&#46; J&#225; Votruba&#8208;Drzal et al&#46;<a class="elsevierStyleCrossRef" href="#bib0345"><span class="elsevierStyleSup">34</span></a> relatam que ela &#233; prejudicial apenas quando o cuidado &#233; de baixa qualidade&#46; A rela&#231;&#227;o encontrada no presente estudo mostra que apesar de tais tarefas poderem ter sido estimuladas no ambiente domiciliar&#44; a maior perman&#234;ncia em creches favoreceu a aquisi&#231;&#227;o de diversas habilidades importantes para o desenvolvimento da coordena&#231;&#227;o motora fina e para o aprendizado escolar&#46;</p><p id="par0115" class="elsevierStylePara elsevierViewall">No presente estudo encontrou&#8208;se uma rela&#231;&#227;o positiva entre a escolaridade materna e a qualidade do ambiente escolar frequentado pelas crian&#231;as&#44; demonstrou&#8208;se que as m&#227;es com maior escolaridade escolhem creches de maior qualidade para seus filhos&#46; De maneira semelhante&#44; Sylva et al&#46;<a class="elsevierStyleCrossRef" href="#bib0245"><span class="elsevierStyleSup">14</span></a> relatam que m&#227;es com maior grau de escolaridade escolhem ambientes escolares mais ricos em est&#237;mulos para o desenvolvimento infantil&#44; uma vez que entendem a creche como ambiente importante para o desenvolvimento&#44; e n&#227;o apenas um local de cuidados &#224; crian&#231;a durante seu per&#237;odo de trabalho&#46; Quanto ao fator socioecon&#244;mico&#44; n&#227;o foi encontrada rela&#231;&#227;o com o desempenho da crian&#231;a&#44; apesar de esse ser um fator de risco bem descrito na literatura&#46;<a class="elsevierStyleCrossRefs" href="#bib0215"><span class="elsevierStyleSup">8&#44;11&#44;28</span></a> Acredita&#8208;se que essa falta de rela&#231;&#227;o se deva &#224; pequena quantidade de crian&#231;as classe socioecon&#244;mica A&#46; Isso impediu que as crian&#231;as de classe mais elevada fossem representadas no presente estudo&#46;</p><p id="par0120" class="elsevierStylePara elsevierViewall">N&#227;o foi encontrada uma associa&#231;&#227;o entre a qualidade geral da creche avaliada pela escala ITERS&#8208;R e o desempenho motor fino das crian&#231;as&#46; O reduzido n&#250;mero de crian&#231;as em creches de boa qualidade pode ter contribu&#237;do para esses resultados&#44; uma vez que entre as crian&#231;as de creches de boa qualidade&#44; 76&#37; apresentaram desempenho acima da m&#233;dia&#44; enquanto para a popula&#231;&#227;o de creches de qualidade ruim essa porcentagem foi de 58&#44;8&#37;&#46; Autores que retrataram o ambiente escolar como fator de risco para o desenvolvimento relataram rotinas com predom&#237;nio de atividades voltadas para alimenta&#231;&#227;o e higiene&#46;<a class="elsevierStyleCrossRefs" href="#bib0185"><span class="elsevierStyleSup">2&#44;8&#44;19&#44;21</span></a> No entanto&#44; ao considerar os itens de qualidade das salas de aula por meio da escala ITERS&#8208;R&#44; apenas o item linguagem oral e compreens&#227;o apresentou rela&#231;&#227;o com o desempenho motor fino&#46; Esse item avalia a oportunidade de as crian&#231;as se expressarem em sala de aula&#44; o modo como os professores estimulam a comunica&#231;&#227;o das crian&#231;as e como se esfor&#231;am para ser compreendidos&#46; A estimula&#231;&#227;o adequada da linguagem possibilita que a crian&#231;a interaja no ambiente escolar&#44; favorece sua estimula&#231;&#227;o e a cria&#231;&#227;o de v&#237;nculos entre ela&#44; o professor e os colegas de sala&#44; o que promove o desenvolvimento infantil de maneira geral<a class="elsevierStyleCrossRefs" href="#bib0240"><span class="elsevierStyleSup">13&#44;28</span></a> e parece estar ligado ao desempenho motor fino das crian&#231;as avaliadas&#46; Outro aspecto relacionado &#224; linguagem &#233; a influ&#234;ncia da capacidade de se comunicar e compreender tarefas por parte das crian&#231;as durante as avalia&#231;&#245;es do desempenho motor fino segundo Bayley&#44; uma vez que durante a avalia&#231;&#227;o elas precisavam entender os comandos dos avaliadores e repetir as atividades propostas&#46; Crian&#231;as que conseguiam compreender melhor a tarefa proposta conseguiam faz&#234;&#8208;la com maior facilidade&#44; enquanto outras podem ter deixado de fazer atividades por n&#227;o conseguir compreender o que foi proposto&#46; De acordo com a teoria <span class="elsevierStyleItalic">Embodiment cognition</span>&#44;<a class="elsevierStyleCrossRef" href="#bib0350"><span class="elsevierStyleSup">35</span></a> as crian&#231;as constroem a representa&#231;&#227;o de objetos por meio de sua intera&#231;&#227;o f&#237;sica com eles e&#44; nesse processo&#44; m&#250;ltiplos fatores interagem&#44; incluindo o c&#233;rebro&#44; o corpo&#44; o contexto e a aprendizagem pr&#233;via&#46; Assim&#44; acredita&#8208;se que as crian&#231;as das creches que recebiam melhor estimula&#231;&#227;o da linguagem tiveram melhor desempenho na avalia&#231;&#227;o por entender e conhecer melhor as tarefas propostas&#46;</p><p id="par0125" class="elsevierStylePara elsevierViewall">Acredita&#8208;se que os outros itens avaliados nas creches n&#227;o apresentaram rela&#231;&#227;o com o desempenho motor fino devido ao reduzido n&#250;mero de creches de boa qualidade&#44; especialmente no item relacionado &#224; qualidade de diferentes atividades pedag&#243;gicas desenvolvidas nas creches&#44; como aulas de m&#250;sica&#44; atividade motora fina&#44; atividade motora grossa&#44; entre outros&#46; Tal fato se deve principalmente &#224; dificuldade de acesso a creches particulares&#44; uma vez que poucas aceitaram participar do estudo devido ao tempo das avalia&#231;&#245;es e &#224;s dificuldade de conciliar as atividades desenvolvidas nas creches com a aplica&#231;&#227;o da escala BSITD&#46;</p><p id="par0130" class="elsevierStylePara elsevierViewall">Outro importante fator a ser levantado &#233; que a influ&#234;ncia do ambiente escolar &#233; frequentemente relatada sobre aspectos cognitivos do desenvolvimento&#46; Assim&#44; as quest&#245;es avaliadas pela escala ITERS&#8208;R podem n&#227;o ter abordado pontos importantes para o desenvolvimento motor fino das crian&#231;as&#44; visto que a escala aborda&#44; de maneira geral&#44; aspectos relacionados &#224; estimula&#231;&#227;o cognitiva nas crian&#231;as&#44; como a intera&#231;&#227;o com os professores&#44; a estimula&#231;&#227;o da linguagem e as rotinas estabelecidas&#44; entre outros&#46; Portanto&#44; pode&#8208;se considerar que faltam instrumentos que avaliam o ambiente escolar com foco no desenvolvimento motor das crian&#231;as&#44; s&#227;o necess&#225;rias escalas mais representativas do desempenho motor&#46;</p><p id="par0135" class="elsevierStylePara elsevierViewall">Portanto&#44; futuros estudos que avaliem maior variedade de ambientes escolares devem ser feitos a fim de esclarecer como se estabelece uma rela&#231;&#227;o entre o desempenho motor fino e a qualidade do ambiente escolar&#46;</p><p id="par0140" class="elsevierStylePara elsevierViewall">Como limita&#231;&#227;o do estudo&#44; aponta&#8208;se que&#44; apesar do c&#225;lculo amostral ter sido respeitado&#44; a amostra &#233; de conveni&#234;ncia&#44; foram inclu&#237;das todas as crian&#231;as cujos pais aceitaram participar do estudo e que n&#227;o choraram durante as avalia&#231;&#245;es&#46; Nesse contexto&#44; os autores acreditam que o estudo tenha uma boa validade externa para condi&#231;&#245;es semelhantes&#44; ou seja&#44; crian&#231;as frequentadoras de creches p&#250;blicas e particulares&#44;
