El tratamiento de elección para los tumores de vías urinarias altas es la nefroureterectomía. En algunos casos se justifica el tratamiento quirúrgico conservador por el riesgo de insuficiencia renal o simplemente como un tratamiento paliativo. Presentamos dos casos de tumores transicionales en la zona pielocalicilar tratados con nefrectomía parcial, y discutimos el valor e indicación del tratamiento quirúrgico conservador para estos tumores.
