Resumen

En el presente trabajo se describe el caso de una paciente que sufrió un síndrome de Claude Bernard-Horner derecho, parálisis recurrencial homolateral e insuficiencia respiratoria debidas a la presencia de un adenoma folicular tiroideo. La paciente fue tratada con éxito mediante intubación nasotraqueal, punción y evacuación de la masa tiroidea quística y cirugía diferida que consistió en hemitiroidectomía total derecha.

We report the case of a female patient who presented right Claude Bernard-Horner syndrome, ipsilateral recurrent palsy and respiratory failure secondary to follicular adenoma of the thyroid gland. The patient was successfully treated by nasotracheal intubation, needle aspiration of the cystic mass and deferred surgery, which consisted of right thyroid lobectomy.
