Abstract
Objective

To modify the Attitudes Toward Health Care Team Scale (ATHCTS) into a measurement tool used to evaluate attitudes toward inter-professional fieldwork study.

Methods

The psychometric properties of the modified ATHCTS were tested using content validity index, construct validity (known group technique), test–retest reliability, and internal consistency. This study involved five experts, 85 students who have interprofessional fieldwork study, and 38 students who have not interprofessional fieldwork study.

Results

This scale consists of 12 items. The I-CVI and S-CVI were 0.895 and 0.583, respectively. The known group technique of construct validity found a significant different score of mean 3.96 vs 4.89 (p<0.001). The test–retest (r-value) is in the range 0.901–1.00 (p<0.001), and the internal consistency is at the range 0.49–0.85 of Cronbach α.

Conclusion

This modified ATHCTS with 12 items is a valid and reliable scale for evaluating attitudes toward inter-professional service teams in the fieldwork study of healthcare students.
