Methodsan observational study using cross-sectional plan toward fishermen where the sample was taken randomly, the data analysis using cross-tabulation of Chi-square.
ResultThe result of the study shows that there are five variables of fishing habits connecting with malaria case on the coastal area in east Lombok regency, those are the duration of being fishermen (p=0.000), the period of fishing (p=0.004), the period of returning from fishing activities (p=0.015), the participation of other family members (p=0.003), the traveling habit of the fishermen (p=0.001).
ConclusionThe habits which become risk factor are the duration of being fishermen, the period of fishing, the period of returning from fishing activities, family members, and the mobility of fishermen.
