The 3rd International Nursing & Health Sciences Students & Health Care Professionals Conference (INHSP) 2019
Más datosPercutaneous Coronary Intervention (PCI) is intended to improve patients’ quality of life (QoL). This study aims to evaluate the QoL of post PCI patients based on the length of use and the number of stents at the cardiology outpatient clinic of Indonesian Public Hospital.
MethodAn analytic survey method with a cross-sectional approach was used in this study. A total of 60 samples were included using a purposive sampling method. Data were analyzed with the Spearman correlation test with a confidence level of 95%.
ResultsThe study shows that there was a correlation of the length of use (p=0.039; r=0.267) and the number of stents (p=0.001; r=0.406) with the patients’ QoL.
ConclusionPatients with more prolonged PCI use and a lower number of stents will have better QoL. Hence, nurse practitioners should provide holistic care for post PCI patients to optimize their condition.
