Abstract
Objective

Stunting is a state of failure to thrive in infants due to chronic malnutrition so that the baby's height is below standard according to his age. The literature review aims to find a change strategy in accelerating the prevention of stunting in children <5 years.

Methods

Literature Review This review uses references from 2015 to 2019 through Scopus, PubMed, Econlit, Scinapse, MDPI, and Elsevier. Only articles discussing stunting (causal factors, prevention) were included.

Results

There are 1460 articles taken from 6 databases after careful review, 15 articles fit to the research theme. Factors causing stunting are low maternal education, increasing age of the child, level of economic status, exclusive breastfeeding, mother's age (<20 years).

Conclusion

Factors that cause stunting in children can be caused by a multisector so that an approach is needed that targets factors related to stunting. The intervention carried out is by using a behavior change communication strategy.
