But the education provided is still limited and inefficient. This can be seen from the lack of patient satisfaction with antenatal services provided with an average percentage of satisfaction and the majority of patient dissatisfaction in the aspects of health education and pregnancy education. Because improving health services is still one of the crucial issues in management. Gives a negative impact on Antenatal services. Poor quality of antenatal care is the main cause of the lack of knowledge of pregnant women about the changes that occur during pregnancy, which generally causes discomfort, anxiety, and even stress that is unfounded.<a class="elsevierStyleCrossRefs" href="#bib0035"><span class="elsevierStyleSup">2,3</span></a></p><p id="par0015" class="elsevierStylePara elsevierViewall">Dissatisfaction makes most pregnant women prefer smartphones to get information about their pregnancy. The rapid development of technology presents Android as one of the operating systems of smartphones, which has given its nuances of mobile technology at this time, in addition to being a smartphone communication media has also become the complete provider of information, especially information about pregnancy.<a class="elsevierStyleCrossRef" href="#bib0045"><span class="elsevierStyleSup">4</span></a></p><p id="par0020" class="elsevierStylePara elsevierViewall">This prompted researchers to design an android-based application that provides education about physiology changes during an android-based pregnancy.</p></span><span id="sec0010" class="elsevierStyleSection elsevierViewall"><span class="elsevierStyleSectionTitle" id="sect0040">Method</span><p id="par0025" class="elsevierStylePara elsevierViewall">This study, an experimental study that aims to increase the knowledge of pregnant women about physiological changes during pregnancy using an Android-based application called Mattampu. Mattampu is one of the Bugis languages in Makassar, Indonesia, which means pregnant. This application contains information about the physiology changes in the first trimester, second trimester, and third trimester. The study was conducted at the Kassi Kassi Public Health Center in Makassar for one month.</p><p id="par0030" class="elsevierStylePara elsevierViewall">Applications are tested for use after obtaining approval from the Health Research Ethics Commission of the Ministry of Research, Technology, and Higher Education Hasanuddin University Faculty of Medicine Hasanuddin University with number 585/UN4.6.4.5.31/PP36/2019 and protocol number UH19060384.</p><p id="par0035" class="elsevierStylePara elsevierViewall">Knowledge is measured using a questionnaire twice, i.e. before being given education using the application and after using the application. Before giving education through the application, first of all, socialization is given on how to use the application.</p></span><span id="sec0015" class="elsevierStyleSection elsevierViewall"><span class="elsevierStyleSectionTitle" id="sect0045">Application</span><p id="par0040" class="elsevierStylePara elsevierViewall">Learning media applications in this study can be accessed via <a href="https://apkpure.com/mattampu/com.app.mattampu">https://apkpure.com/mattampu/com.app.mattampu</a> and have passed the Black-box test with the ANR (Application Not Responding) test from Google Play and the Field Test type conducted by manually using Applications on Android with minimum API 2.0.</p><p id="par0045" class="elsevierStylePara elsevierViewall">The Application Not Responding test or the ANR test is conducted by Google Play via <a href="https://play.google.com/apps/publish">https://play.google.com/apps/publish</a> in the Mattampu Publisher account. Data was collected in real-time within 60 days and no error applications were found for all devices that were installed Mattampu 1.0 (<a class="elsevierStyleCrossRef" href="#fig0005">Fig. 1</a>).</p><elsevierMultimedia ident="fig0005"></elsevierMultimedia><p id="par0050" class="elsevierStylePara elsevierViewall">From the data raised, the Application runs stably on all download devices within 60 days. The device runs stable and is not found an error in real-time by Google as long as the device is used by the user (user).</p></span><span id="sec0020" class="elsevierStyleSection elsevierViewall"><span class="elsevierStyleSectionTitle" id="sect0050">Results</span><p id="par0055" class="elsevierStylePara elsevierViewall">The average age of respondents in the first and third trimesters is the majority of 25.00 years and 25.53 years, while the second trimester is 27.00 years. Based on the results of statistical tests using the Chi-Square Test, the value of <span class="elsevierStyleItalic">ρ</span><span class="elsevierStyleHsp" style=""></span>=<span class="elsevierStyleHsp" style=""></span>0.22<span class="elsevierStyleHsp" style=""></span>><span class="elsevierStyleHsp" style=""></span>0.05 means that there is no significant difference between the age of one group and the other groups.</p><p id="par0060" class="elsevierStylePara elsevierViewall">All of the pregnant women given the intervention in this study were in the majority in the low education category, and most in the second trimester were 24 (36.4%), while for the higher education category the most in the third trimester were 10 (35.5%). Based on the results of statistical tests using the Chi-Square test, obtained <span class="elsevierStyleItalic">ρ</span><span class="elsevierStyleHsp" style=""></span>=<span class="elsevierStyleHsp" style=""></span>0.50<span class="elsevierStyleHsp" style=""></span>><span class="elsevierStyleHsp" style=""></span>0.05, meaning that there is no significant difference between the education of pregnant women trimester I, II, and III.</p><p id="par0065" class="elsevierStylePara elsevierViewall">All pregnant women who were given intervention in this study, both the first, second and third trimesters did not work, and the most included in the category of not working were trimester I pregnant mothers as many as 23 people (39.0%), while pregnant women who were the most work is trimester II with 13 people (41.9%). Statistical test results using the Chi-Square test obtained values (<span class="elsevierStyleItalic">ρ</span><span class="elsevierStyleHsp" style=""></span>=<span class="elsevierStyleHsp" style=""></span>0.25<span class="elsevierStyleHsp" style=""></span>><span class="elsevierStyleHsp" style=""></span>0.05) (<a class="elsevierStyleCrossRef" href="#tbl0005">Table 1</a>).</p><elsevierMultimedia ident="tbl0005"></elsevierMultimedia><p id="par0070" class="elsevierStylePara elsevierViewall">The results of data analysis for first-trimester mothers showed that there was a change in frequency based on the level of knowledge, before being given an intervention that had less knowledge by 22 people (73.3%) and who had good knowledge as many as 8 people (26.7%). Whereas after being given an intervention the number of pregnant women who had less knowledge decreased to 8 people (26.7%) and who had good knowledge increased to 22 people (73.3%), with a value (<span class="elsevierStyleItalic">ρ</span><span class="elsevierStyleHsp" style=""></span>=<span class="elsevierStyleHsp" style=""></span>0.001<span class="elsevierStyleHsp" style=""></span><<span class="elsevierStyleHsp" style=""></span>0.05) meaning there is a significant relationship between the use of the Mattampu’application with increased knowledge of pregnant women (<a class="elsevierStyleCrossRef" href="#tbl0010">Table 2</a>).</p><elsevierMultimedia ident="tbl0010"></elsevierMultimedia><p id="par0075" class="elsevierStylePara elsevierViewall">The results of data analysis for the second trimester showed that there was a change in frequency based on the level of knowledge, before being given an intervention that had less knowledge by 23 people (76.7%), and only seven people had good knowledge (23.3%). Whereas after being given an intervention the number of pregnant women who had less knowledge decreased to 2 people (6.7%) and who had good knowledge increased to 28 people (93.3%), with a value (<span class="elsevierStyleItalic">ρ</span><span class="elsevierStyleHsp" style=""></span>=<span class="elsevierStyleHsp" style=""></span>0.001<span class="elsevierStyleHsp" style=""></span><<span class="elsevierStyleHsp" style=""></span>0.05) meaning there is a significant relationship between the use of the Mattampu’application with increased knowledge of pregnant women (<a class="elsevierStyleCrossRef" href="#tbl0015">Table 3</a>).</p><elsevierMultimedia ident="tbl0015"></elsevierMultimedia><p id="par0080" class="elsevierStylePara elsevierViewall">The results of data analysis for the third trimester showed that there was a change in frequency based on the level of knowledge, before being given an intervention that had less knowledge by 23 people (76.7%), and only seven people had good knowledge (23.3%). Whereas after being given an intervention the number of pregnant women who had less knowledge decreased to 3 people (10.0%) and who had good knowledge increased to 27 people (90.0%), with a value (<span class="elsevierStyleItalic">ρ</span><span class="elsevierStyleHsp" style=""></span>=<span class="elsevierStyleHsp" style=""></span>0.000<span class="elsevierStyleHsp" style=""></span><<span class="elsevierStyleHsp" style=""></span>0.05) meaning there is a significant relationship between the use of the Mattampu’application with increased knowledge of pregnant women (<a class="elsevierStyleCrossRef" href="#tbl0020">Table 4</a>).</p><elsevierMultimedia ident="tbl0020"></elsevierMultimedia></span><span id="sec0025" class="elsevierStyleSection elsevierViewall"><span class="elsevierStyleSectionTitle" id="sect0055">Discussion</span><p id="par0085" class="elsevierStylePara elsevierViewall">The use of the Mattampu application can increase the knowledge of pregnant women about changes in physiology during pregnancy. This shows the positive impact of the use of Android-based smartphones on health services. It was also found that pregnant women in the working area of Kassi-Kassi health center mostly had the ability to access information, research limitations were only as measuring the knowledge of pregnant women but without seeing the actions of pregnant women after their knowledge had increased.</p><p id="par0090" class="elsevierStylePara elsevierViewall">In an era that is completely sophisticated no doubt, Android-based smartphones are becoming a lifestyle for most women because they have interesting features. The Application Not Responding test (ANR test) was conducted by Google Play via <span class="elsevierStyleInterRef" id="intr0010" href="https://play.google.com/apps/publish">https://play.google.com/apps/publish</span>, and it was declared good and found no errors.</p></span> <span id="abst0015" class="elsevierStyleSection elsevierViewall"><span class="elsevierStyleSectionTitle" id="sect0020">Results</span><p id="spar0015" class="elsevierStyleSimplePara elsevierViewall">The results of data analysis showed that for the first trimester; an increase in knowledge regarding physiological changes during pregnancy, that is knowledge, before being given an intervention that had good knowledge only eight people (26.7%) and after the intervention increased to 22 people (73.3%). For the second trimester, before being given an intervention that had good knowledge only seven people (23.3%), after being given an intervention, increased to 28 people (93.3%).
