This study aims to increase the knowledge of pregnant women about physiological changes during pregnancy.
MethodThe study design was cross-sectional with a quantitative descriptive design. The total sample of 90 pregnant women consisted of 30 first trimester pregnant women, 30 second trimester pregnant women, 30 third trimester pregnant women, taken by accidental sampling technique. Measurement of the increase in knowledge of pregnant women, pre-test, and post-test was given. Applications can be accessed and installed on Android through Google Play; https://apkpure.com/mattampu/com.app.mattampu. The Application Not Responding test (ANR test) was conducted by Google Play via https://play.google.com/apps/publish, and it was declared good and found no errors.
ResultsThe results of data analysis showed that for the first trimester; an increase in knowledge regarding physiological changes during pregnancy, that is knowledge, before being given an intervention that had good knowledge only eight people (26.7%) and after the intervention increased to 22 people (73.3%). For the second trimester, before being given an intervention that had good knowledge only seven people (23.3%), after being given an intervention, increased to 28 people (93.3%). For the third trimester, before being given an intervention, only seven people (23.3%) had good knowledge, and after being given an intervention, it increased to 27 people (90.0%).
ConclusionThe use of android-based applications can increase the knowledge of pregnant women in all trimesters regarding physiological changes during pregnancy.
