In general, techniques and medication are considered the most important factors in effecting a cure. However, using techniques and describing the perimetric progression of glaucoma and the visual alterations it provokes, nurses, as experts in care, have to evaluate the aspects of health that are altered in individuals with glaucoma and define the appropriate nursing diagnoses and interventions, in order to identify the nursing care required by individuals with this progressive and incapacitating disease
