elsevierViewall">A 69-year-old female with cutaneous follicular lymphoma diagnosed after the removal of an infiltrative erythematous nodular lesion in the right hypochondrium of several months of progression. For the initial staging it was decided to perform a <span class="elsevierStyleSup">18</span>F-FDG PET/CT that showed extensive supra and subdiaphragmatic, pulmonary, bilateral pleural, right breast, liver, peritoneal implants, uterus, bone, and countless subcutaneous and perimuscular nodules (<a class="elsevierStyleCrossRef" href="#fig0005">Fig. 1</a>A and <span class="elsevierStyleSmallCaps">C</span>). Given these findings, the patient received 6 cycles of R-CHOP chemotherapy. Three weeks after its completion, a second <span class="elsevierStyleSup">18</span>F-FDG PET/CT study showed a complete response to treatment (<a class="elsevierStyleCrossRef" href="#fig0005">Fig. 1</a>B and D). Currently the patient remains stable with rituximab maintenance therapy.</p><elsevierMultimedia ident="fig0005"></elsevierMultimedia><p id="par0010" class="elsevierStylePara elsevierViewall">Cutaneous follicular lymphoma develops in the form of isolated or grouped papules, plaques or nodules, with the mean age at diagnosis being 60. The <span class="elsevierStyleSup">18</span>F-FDG PET/CT study is considered the technique of choice for staging and evaluating the response to treatment of non-indolent lymphomas.
