He came to the doctor's surgery due to the appearance of asymptomatic lesions on one arm on top of a tattoo that had been inked weeks before. The physical examination showed erythematous-scaly plaques meticulously following the lines of the tattoo (<a class="elsevierStyleCrossRef" href="#fig0005">Fig. 1</a>). With these findings, an isomorphic Koebner phenomenon was diagnosed in a patient with psoriasis. Treatment with topical corticosteroids was prescribed together with vitamin D analogues with complete resolution.</p><elsevierMultimedia ident="fig0005"></elsevierMultimedia><p id="par0010" class="elsevierStylePara elsevierViewall">The Koebner phenomenon is one of the best known phenomena in dermatology. It was first described by Heinrich Koebner in 1876 as the formation of psoriatic lesions on the unaffected skin of psoriatic patients after skin trauma. This isomorphic phenomenon is now known to involve numerous skin diseases, including vitiligo or lichen planus.
