For 6 weeks now he has been presenting two asymptomatic lesions on the left flank, but with progressive growth. He does not show any other clinical symptom. At the moment of examination he presented two cyst lesions on the left flank of 2<span class="elsevierStyleHsp" style=""></span>cm and 2.5<span class="elsevierStyleHsp" style=""></span>cm in diameter, both infiltrated in the inferior part of the lesion (<a class="elsevierStyleCrossRef" href="#fig0005">Fig. 1</a>). The lesions presented a central orifice that when pressed expelled a serous liquid. After infiltrating one of them with local anaesthesia it could be observed a larva extreme come out from the central orifice (<a class="elsevierStyleCrossRef" href="#fig0010">Fig. 2</a>). With a pair of dissecting forceps, the larva was extracted from the orifice. The same process was repeated with the other lesion (<a class="elsevierStyleCrossRef" href="#fig0015">Fig. 3</a>). The diagnosis was established: furuncular myiasis caused by <span class="elsevierStyleItalic">Dermatobia hominis</span>.
