La atención al enfermo terminal es una de las actividades más difíciles que el médico de familia tiene que asumir. La llegada del final, el enfrentarse con los miedos del paciente, de la familia y con los que nosotros mismos experimentamos, son tareas que debemos saber abordar. Desde una perspectiva muy personal se describe la evolución que la autora ha experimentado a la hora de hacerse cargo de este tipo de pacientes.
Care to the terminal patients is one of the most difficult activities that the family doctor has to assume. The approach to the end of life, facing the fears of the patient, family and that we, ourselves, experience, are tasks that we should know how to approach. From a very personal point of view, the evolution that the author has experienced when treating this type of patients is described.
