Eficacia y seguridad del ácido hialurónico en la eliminación de los signos de envejecimiento facial

Resumen

Antecedentes

La continua lucha del ser humano por mantener el rostro más fresco y juvenil, sin llegar a la cirugía reconstructiva, hace necesario el ensayo de tratamientos estéticos no invasivos.

Objetivo

El objetivo fue evaluar la eficacia y la seguridad del ácido hialurónico (AH) (Hyalrepair®, Hyaluform®) en la eliminación de los signos de envejecimiento facial.

Pacientes y método

En el período comprendido entre el 23 de julio de 2018 y el 4 de julio de 2019, fue realizado un estudio observacional, analítico y longitudinal, en 40 sujetos, por los miembros de la Escuela Internacional de Medicina y Cirugía (EIMEC) en la Clínica Internacional: «La Pradera», La Habana, Cuba.

Resultados

El grado de mejoría estética global fue significativamente modificado (mucho mejor en el 90% y bastante mejor en el 5%) (p < 0,0001). La profundidad del surco nasogeniano disminuyó de manera significativa al finalizar el tratamiento (p < 0,0001). Hubo relación directamente proporcional entre el aumento de la edad, el grado de envejecimiento cutáneo, la profundidad del surco nasogeniano, la pérdida de volumen facial, y la necesidad de utilizar mayor densidad y volumen de AH en los sujetos. El grado de satisfacción referido aumentó de forma significativa (muy satisfecho en el 98% y satisfecho en el 2%) (p < 0,0001). Los eventos adversos encontrados fueron: dolor (40/40), edema (30/40) y equimosis (10/40); todos fueron de intensidad leve a moderada.

Conclusiones

Hyalrepair®, Hyaluform® son altamente efectivos y seguros en la eliminación de los signos de envejecimiento facial, con elevado grado de satisfacción de los sujetos.

Abstract

Background

The continuous struggle of the human being to keep the face fresher and more youthful, without reaching reconstructive surgery, makes it necessary to test non-invasive esthetic treatments.

Objective

The objective was evaluate the efficacy and safety of hyaluronic acid (HA) (Hyalrepair®, Hyaluform®) in eliminating the signs of facial aging.

Patients and method

In the period between July 23, 2018 and July 4, 2019, a longitudinal, analytical, observational study was carried out in 40 subjects at the «La Pradera» International Clinic, Havana, Cuba, by members of the international school of esthetic medicine and surgery (EIMEC).

Results

The degree of global esthetic improvement was significantly modified (much better in 90% and quite better in 5%) (p < 0.0001). The depth of the nasolabial fold decreased significantly at the end of treatment (p < 0.0001). There was a directly proportional relationship between the increase in age, the degree of skin aging, the depth of the nasolabial fold, the loss of facial volume, and the need to use a higher density and volume of HA in the subjects. The degree of satisfaction referred to increased significantly (very satisfied in 98% and satisfied in 2%) (p < 0.0001). The adverse events found were: pain (40/40), edema (30/40) and ecchymosis (10/40); all were mild to moderate intensity.

Conclusions

Hyalrepair® and Hyaluform® are highly effective and safe in the elimination of facial aging signs, with a high degree of satisfaction of the subjects.
