Congenital listeriosis
Perinatal infection
Perinatal mortality
Abstract

Generally, the Listeria monocytogenes infection in adult human, cause a light disease; however, this infection produces high morbi-mortality in the pregnant women due to the disminution of the cellular immunity during pregnancy. In the fetus, the Listeria monocytogenes may produce a congenital infection with very serious outcomes

We communicate a case report of listeriosis during pregnancy that cause maternal infection and hidrops fetalis with intrapartum fetal death
