Presentamos un caso de tumor mucinoso de mama, cuya única manifestación mamográfica consistió en una agrupación de microcalcificaciones polimórficas de 4 mm de diámetro máximo. El tumor correspondió histológicamente a un subtipo mucinoso puro.
La revisión bibliográfica realizada nos confirma que esta presentación es francamente atípica por lo que creemos que es de interés para el radiólogo.
We present a case of mucinous breast carcinoma in which the only mammographic finding was the presence of a cluster of polymorphic microcalcifications with a maximum diameter of 4 mm. The histological study showed the lesion to correspond to a pure mucinous subtype.
A review of the literature confirmed this to be a frankly atypical presentation, for which reason we consider it of interest to the radiologist.
