El uso por parte de los clínicos de las guías de práctica clínica es un proceso complejo que puede verse interferido por diversos obstáculos. Las dificultades dependen tanto del médico como del entorno donde desarrolla su labor y actúan dificultando los tres pasos básicos que requiere el uso de las guías: búsqueda, selección y desarrollo. Vencer estas dificultades precisa adquirir nuevos conocimientos que lleven a una nueva actitud clínica propiciadora de nuevas conductas. En el presente artículo se relacionan cuáles son estas dificultades y posibles estrategias para su resolución.
The use of clinical practice guidelines by the clinicians is a complex process which can be interfered with by several obstacles. The difficulties depend on both the physician as well as the environment in which his/her work is carried out and they hamper the 3 basic steps required in the use of the guidelines: search, selection and development. To overcome these difficulties, it is necessary to acquire new knowledge that leads to a new clinical attitude favoring new behaviors. This article relates what these difficulties are and the possible strategies for the resolution.
