Repertorio de Medicina y Cirugía journal is the means of dissemination of scientific works produced by the San José Group at Bogotá DC, Colombia. This group is integrated by, Hospital de San José, Fundación Universitaria de Ciencias de la Salud and Hospital Infantil Universitario de San José. Founded in 1909, the journal reappeared on August 1 2000 after some periods of interrupted publication, and currently is issued quarterly. The journal publishes works structured as, original research articles, review articles, case reports and clinical practice guidelines that comply with the policies of the Editorial Committee. Articles contain information in all areas of health and allied sciences and the journal aims to be the instrument of publication of research conducted by students, faculty, local, regional and international researchers and encourages and strengthens strategies for knowledge generation and transfer. All articles submitted must follow the norms outlined in heading: Instructions for Authors. The journal observes the standards of scientific publications in all aspects, such as, peer review and ethical precepts.
