Aims and scope

The Revista Chilena de Cirugía (Chilean Journal of Surgery) is the official journal of the Sociedad de Cirujanos de Chile (Surgeons Society of Chile) and publishes original and unpublished articles on medical topics, including, in particular, articles on basic and clinical research, review articles, and other documents, giving preference to those related to Surgery and its associated specialties. It also publishes Editorials, Clinical cases, Letters to the Editor, and Imaging and Surgery. The articles submitted must not be sent to other scientific journals and, if they comply with the formal publishing requirements, they will be submitted for peer review, ideally to two, who are distinguished members of the medical and scientific community, and appointed by the Editorial Board. This evaluation is anonymous, and the authors and peer reviewers are unknown to each other.
