A year has now elapsed since I took over the helm of the Revista Española de Cirugía Ortopédica y Traumatología and it seems only fair to settle an obligatory debt of gratitude with all the referees who have collaborated with the journal from behind the scenes through their many hours of selfless dedication and hard work.
The number of papers received has doubled since our Revista was included on Medline/PubMed. In 2013, we may well top the 200 marks. This represents a very considerable workload not only for the Editorial Team, whose names appear on the inside cover and who know very well how deeply grateful I am to them, but also for all of the anonymous referees whose expertise have made it possible for the articles published to be better than the manuscripts received.
On behalf of the Sociedad Española de Cirugía Ortopédica y Traumatología and its Revista, I should like to honour the inestimable altruism of their efforts by listing below the names of all those who have taken part during 2013. I should also like to take this occasion to invite experienced specialists with a profound understanding of any of the areas included within our extensive speciality to collaborate with us to maintain the level of quality we all aspire to for this publication.
