Nueva etapa
Cumplido su primer cuarto de siglo Allergologia et Immunopathologia inicia una nueva etapa. Desde su fundación por el profesor A. Oehling, hace 25 años, la revista ha seguido una trayectoria marcada por diversas vicisitudes, sin que en ningún momento haya decrecido el prestigio que alcanzó en su primera época. En esta nueva andadura, bajo mi dirección, Allergologia et Immunopathologia va a desarrollar su carácter de Órgano de Difusión de la Sociedad Española de Inmunología Clínica y Alergología Pediátrica (SEICAP), ofreciendo sus páginas para la publicación de todas las actividades de la misma, tanto de sus Congresos anuales, como las actividades de las distintas Secciones científicas de la Sociedad, trabajos de investigación de sus miembros, etc.
Sin embargo, esto no supone una dedicación exclusiva a esta actividad, sino que Allergologia et Immunopathologia, sigue abierta a la colaboración de todos los especialistas, aceptando trabajos de investigación, casuística clínica, revisiones y puestas al día de temas de interés, siempre relacionados con la patología alergológica e inmunológica, en su más amplio contenido.
Con el deseo de alcanzar la máxima difusión e interés de los lectores, el idioma preferente será el inglés, aunque también el español será idioma de difusión de los trabajos, facilitando así la lectura a todos los médicos de habla hispana, en nuestro país y en Latinoamérica. En ambos casos, los amplios resúmenes en el otro idioma, permitirán la comprensión de los trabajos a todos los lectores.
Esperamos, en esta nueva etapa, alcanzar los más altos niveles científicos y el mayor interés de todos por esta publicación.

A new stage
This year Allergologia et Immunopathologia is celebrating its first quarter century of existence and the beginning of a new era. Since its foundation by Professor A. Oehling 25 years ago, the development of the journal has undergone several vicissitudes, none of which has reduced the prestige that the journal achieved in its early period. In its new stage under my direction, Allergologia et Immunopathologia will enhance its role as the official journal of the Spanish Pediatric Society of Clinical Immunology and Allergology (SEICAP) and open its pages for publishing of all society activities, including not only their annual congress, but also the activities of different scientific sections, research work by members, etc.
However, this will not be the only activity of Allergologia et Immunopa-thologia. The journal will remain open to the contributions of all specialists and will accept original research papers, clinical cases, reviews and updates of topics of interest in the broad field of allergological and immunological pathology.
In order to reach the largest possible audience with topics of interest, the preferred language of the journal will be English. Spanish will be also accepted, which ensures access to its content by all Spanish-speaking physicians in our country and throughout Latinamerica. In both cases, all articles will be accompanied by a detailed summary in the other language to enable readers to understand the papers.
We hope that in this new stage we will attain the highest levels of scientific value and interest for the readership of Allergologia et Immunopathologia.
