O Professor José Fernandes e Fernandes foi recentemente distinguido com o título “Honorary Membership and Distinguished Fellow” da Society for Vascular Surgery (SVS) que será atribuído durante o 2013 SVS Vascular Annual Meeting a realizar no mês de Junho na cidade de San Francisco.
Como reconhecido na carta de nomeação enviada pela Direcção da SVS, esta distinção é um reconhecimento de “meritorius contributions these international surgeons made to the art and science of vascular surgery. Honorary status in the SVS is granted to distinguish physicians who have achieved international proeminence in medicine and who have contributed to the advancement of the vascular field”.
A direcção editorial da “Angiologia e Cirurgia Vascular” felicita o Prof. Fernandes e Fernandes e congratula-se por esta distinção que muito honra e prestigia a cirurgia vascular portuguesa.
