Abstract

We present 6 cases of gynaecological cancer which we encountered in very elderly women aged 80 to 100 years: breast, vulvar, bladder, endometrial, uterine sarcoma and ovarian cancer, with the corresponding iconography.

We make specific considerations of these cases, and review gynaecological cancer in the elderly woman in general: the characteristics and management, the role of the patient and her family, and the methods of prevention that her physician should adopt. We emphasize the need to screen all women, and even more so in the very elderly woman, to prevent cancer.
