Resumen
Aportamos un caso de rubéola congénita que pasódesapercibida a pesar de la vigilancia obstétrica regular. Parece interesante, a partir de observacionescomo ésta, destacar la absoluta necesidad del estudioserológico de la rubéola en el inicio de la gestación. El análisis minucioso de la tasa inicial de anticuerposmaternos es capital para eliminar una eventual seroconversión en el curso de la gestación. El problemade la interpretación de los exámenes biológicos debeser discutido.
Summary
We recently observed a case of congenital rubella which had gone unrecognised despite regular obstetric care. This emphasises the importance of screening for rubella at the start of pregnancy. Minute analysis of initial maternal antibody levels is essential to rule out the possibility of infection during pregnancy. The problem of interpreting serodiagnostic data is discussed.
