This study aims to develop a patient safety culture model by analyzing factors, individuals, organizations and the environment.
MethodsThe stages of the research method began with collecting data with questionnaires to 207 respondents, in-depth interviews and observation of the hospital environment, then the results of the data collection were analyzed univariately and conducted by the FGD with the Hospital.
ResultsThe results of the study found that the safety culture model in the Majene Hospital is a Hierarchy culture, the hospital has implemented a patient safety program even though it has not been optimal. Therefore the Majene Regional Hospital needs to apply knowledge sharing, develop internal policies related to reporting, improve team work, create a culture of not blaming and rewarding employees who have good performance related to patient safety.
ConclusionThe picture of patient safety culture in Majene Regional Hospital, based on known assumptions indicators, the patient safety program that runs is a mandatory government program for accreditation demands, the patient safety program has been implemented in hospitals, but has not been implemented optimally.
